Details: A 24" x 20" canvas with a 1" profile. This is an abstract piece of artwork which has texture using heavy molding paste with a variance in greens, peach, and orange/red to strike a balance and provide some boldness to the canvas. This was painted using a narrow palette knife.
I could have called this, Seed, Hub, Center, Bedrock; but I chose Nucleus because I can.
And, I did.
I don't use green all that often. When you check my website to make sure I'm not a filthy liar you'll notice that I am correct in that statement. I'm not sure why, but I was initially afraid of the incorporating the color with others without it starting to get too "muddy." I've gotten much better at combining acrylic paints these days, so I was willing to take the risk.
The light and medium peach work well with the platitude of greens on the canvas giving the nucleus a life of color using medium red, which is an orangy-version of red (it's one of my particular favorites since it's bold and versatile).
The finish is a high gloss varnish and is ready to hang.
